Shoe Love

Shoe Love – Accessories!

I’ve had this nagging feeling all day that I totally short-changed you all with my shoe pick this fine Tuesday.  Then I figured out why – because I did!  And that just won’t do.

So I’m continuing the “Shoe Love!” with some “Shoe Accessories!”  And, please, before I go any further either get your credit card handy or go hide it in another room. Yes, it’s that serious.

Ready?

OK. Let’s talk spats – the good kind. Better yet, let’s just look at them.

~~~~~~
And my FAVES – sexy, snuggley, legwarmer spats:
~~~~~~

So what do you think? Would you wear any of these? I will definitely be purchasing some of these, STAT! Stat for spats. Ha.  OK that means it’s time to go.

Oh, for those of you that chose to get a credit card handy: congrats on wanting to instantly increase your shoe wardrobe. 🙂 Shopping info below.

Tuesday Shoesday: Yeehaw! [Guest Post]

Hello friends and followers of Nicole, this is Claire from A Realistic Wedding. Now, I’m so excited to be guest posting for Nicole because she’s truly a fabulous person. She has such a fantastic sense of style and is so darn good at what she does. She’s one of my tried and true “twitter” friends, and I know I can always count on seeing something unique and gorgeous on her site.

So, with that precedent set, I was slightly nervous on what I would post for the famed #tuesdayshoesday. I wanted to keep in her trend of unique and one of a kind finds, so I thought I’d go off the beaten path a little with my shoes picks. So instead of flats or pumps, today I’m going Southern and Western with some sweet and sassy cowboy boots! Cowboy boots are becoming all the rage with Southern and rustic brides and not only do they look great, but they allow for the bride to bring out her personality and sense of identity. So ya’ll, take a gander at some of my favorites as well as some gorgeous real brides rocking some fantastic boots. Can I get a yee-haw?

 Mossimo Supply Co. Kagome Western Boot [I LOVE the slouchy look! So trendy!]

Frye Rider Spur Inside Zip, Zappos

 Lucchese Charlie One Horse, Zappos

 Frye Carson Pull over, Zappos [Your something blue? I dig it!]

 Fryer Riding Chelsea, Zappos [I know these are technically riding boots, but hello, they are CUTE and would look so rocker/rider chic with a wedding dress]

 BCBGeneration Silk Boot, Nordstrom

And now onto some real brides and bridesmaids in fantastic boots 🙂

And if you are a southern and western belle at heart but would rather wear sparkly pumps [hello, ME!] give away these delicious treats as favors to your guests to show your love for the cowboy boot.

Shoe Love! + Some Marriage Thoughts

So how many times have you thought today is Monday? Surprise! It’s not. It’s Tuesday Shoes Day, woo woo!  I looove when we get to ‘skip’ Monday plus we get to look at gorgeous footwear.

Ok well we didn’t really skip Monday, but you know what I mean.  It was actually a very important Monday and I hope we all took a moment to remember why we weren’t laboring on Labor Day.  It was also a very important personal Monday for me: it was my 2nd wedding anniversary!  It has gone by quickly and marriage has proven to be more special than I could’ve ever imagined.  While I feel I have a lot to learn as a wife, I know I have the best husband in the world for me.

***The shoes are coming, I swear***

In two years I’ve gained:  an undisclosed number of pounds (watch out for that one, ladies!),  an insane and useless amount of football and movie trivia, approximately four gray hairs, and a partner.  Before I was married I thought I knew what that was and what it meant, but only since saying those few words to cross this threshold did I really feel it.  It’s different.  I can feel the (joyous) weight of it every day.

In two years I’ve lost:  one half of the bed and 6 forks.  Seriously, where do the forks go? We do not have children. We do not have pets…so where are they hiding?  Do we have walking utensils? Am I eating them? I don’t know. I suggest you go ahead and register for TWO sets of silverware!  Maybe they are running away with the socks…

***Here are the shoes!!***

Fine. It’s fall.  Whatever.  I will reluctantly start preparing my sandals and wedges for hibernation – as long as you promise I can keep them within reach for when my husband wisks me away to Fiji (wishful thinking)!  But for real, these shoes are making my transition blissful.  Check out Omelle, stat.

I love that the socks are built in!

 Fancy, in Blue Fiber (top) and Gray Fiber (bottom)

But isn’t this a wedding blog? Yes it is, thanks for noticing! So let’s take a look at some Omelle beauties in action –

I would love to link you to these but I can’t. These particular shoes were one-of-a-kinds designed just for this bride – by the bride! She is Cherise Angelle, one half of Omelle together with Nicole LaFave.  Pretty awesome team, huh?  You can see more of the bride and groom here, on Junebug Weddings.  (Photography by Elizabeth Messina)

I can’t wait to see the Spring 2011 line! What do you think of Omelle? Will you be taking advantage of the sales?!  Which ones would you buy?

Shoe Love!

This Tuesday Shoesday I’m sparing your wallet by only posting pretty shoe pictures, as opposed to pointing you towards the nearest online checkout.

A few reminders that the bridesmaids should have pretty shoes too…but not as pretty as yours. 😉

What have you chosen for your “ladies in waiting” to wear? Or are you sending them out into the wild to shop alone with only a few demands? As always, feel free to SHOW me!

Oh, what the heck! Let’s go shopping. Today is my pay day, it might be yours too!

Salvatore Ferragamo “Fantastic”

Yep…. I wish.

Shoe Love/Hate

I’m having a real love/hate relationship with these shoes. Something about them draws me in and yet I don’t think I could wear them…

Denya, Nine West

They also come in black and light brown.  Your thoughts?

Maybe I’ll look for a “Dress of the Day” to accompany them…

Shoe Love!

My intense shoe love today is courtesy of Cicely at Procopio Photography. She recently shot a Greek Orthodox wedding and when I saw the pics on her blog I immediately asked her if I could show off the bride’s shoes here.  You’re welcome.

Tasha by Bourne (Thank you Angela for the info!)

They are so beautiful that people will throw money at you!

The bride had a 2nd pair of “comfy” shoes for later in the evening – sparkly Stuarts!

That’s right, they were her comfy shoes. This bride is my hero.

See more of the wedding that went with these shoes here.
