Pretend Wedding

Since all of the other wedding blogs like to showcase “Real Weddings”, we’re going to shake things up and start blogging “Pretend Weddings”!  First up: Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher.

Yes, they really had a wedding – today in fact! I am so anxious to see pictures of the event that I went ahead and put together an Envision Board of what I hope it looks like!

Let’s start with the facts that have already been reported. They were married today, July 10, in a lakeside tent at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA.  About 250 guests were in attendance as Carrie and her bridesmaids walked down the aisle in Monique Lhuillier.  I’ll go ahead and assume Mike added more bling to her finger, to accompany her 12 carat engagement ring.  Sounds good so far!

Ritz-Carlton (the wedding pictured is not Carrie and Mike’s):

The engagement ring, in case you forgot:

I envision their wedding as the epitome of tradition and elegance, with shades of pink and white to add a romantic girly touch, and of course country-inspired details to pay homage both to Carrie’s roots and her career.  The cupcakes pictured are from IveyCake, which is owned by the wife of Carrie’s bass player.

Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and all the other newlyweds today!

    • I am just anxious to see her wedding dress! I always love her dresses. Oh and the wedding ring – can you imagine what he’d have to get to match that amazing engagement ring?
